Danielle White’s knack for entrepreneurship was discovered at a young age, when she opened small enterprises including lawn care, car washing, and movie rentals.
Succeeding her mother – who inspired White’s passion for entrepreneurship – as CEO of Myriad Advisor Solutions has been a daunting challenge, though one that she has taken in stride.
Expanding Myriad’s services has been a significant pride point for White, and she’s exceptionally pleased with the innovative and collaborative culture she has cultivated as CEO.
“What I’m most proud of isn’t just the growth metrics, but the fact that our team feels energized and aligned around the vision we’re building together,” she says. “Taking on that responsibility at a pivotal moment and turning it into a platform for innovation and opportunity has been the most defining milestone of my career so far.”
To ensure that each team member is reaching their full potential, White emphasizes transparent feedback loops, along with professional development. She highlights the ever-changing nature of the financial industry and ensures that Myriad is keeping up with the latest relevant industry trends.
“I prioritize fostering a culture of adaptability, where innovation is encouraged and change is seen as an opportunity rather than a disruption,” she explains. “For me, it’s not about having every answer, but about building trust and creating an environment where our team can grow with confidence, even in the face of rapid change.”
White’s youthfulness has allowed her to lean into her insatiable curiosity, being unconstrained by traditional assumptions that some of her older peers may have.

“It’s very important to set an example and to not only inspire but mentor other females,” she adds.
In addition to her sharp marketing eye, the key to Phillips Topping’s success lies in her high-energy approach and positive attitude.
“As the leader of a team, it’s important to motivate and encourage your team members. People work very hard and do their best and it’s important to recognize these efforts. For my career overall, my attitude has been one of curiosity. The more you can learn, the better you’ll understand the business, and then the deeper your knowledge will become, making you a better team member.”

“I’ve been able to turn my relative inexperience into an advantage by approaching challenges with curiosity, a fresh perspective, and a willingness to learn,” she says. “Because I wasn’t constrained by longstanding assumptions, I could ask questions, challenge traditional approaches, and explore innovative solutions that others might overlook.”
As a lifelong learner, White is constantly searching for new ways to improve her performance and that of Myriad. This has been central to gaining credibility as a young leader in the industry, and has led to tangible results for Myriad.
“I haven’t had a formal mentor, but I’ve always learned by observing and connecting with people around me, drawing on their experiences to inform my own decisions,” she notes.
Without a traditional mentor, White drew on the examples set by both parents, absorbing lessons in creativity and risk-taking from a mother who built and sold multiple businesses, and a strong work ethic from a father who thrived in the corporate world.
Being recognized as a Rising Star has reinforced White’s belief in the power of curiosity and adaptability, and serves as motivation to continue leading with purpose, supporting others, and embracing new opportunities for growth.
